The Mabel D. Smith Associated Campus Ministries Center offers spaces available to rent to UNCG and Smith ACM-affiliated groups, including student groups recognized by Campus Activities and Programs, upon approval by the Smith ACM Scheduling & Use Committee and Executive Board.
Our main assembly room, with 1,884 square feet on the second floor (accessible by elevator and stairs), is large enough to accommodate up to 90 guests. An adjacent industrial kitchen is available for an additional fee. Tables and chairs are available, but renters supply their own dishes, utensils, cookware, towels, etc.
A 184-square-foot breakout room, which is commonly used for small group meetings and meditation, is available to rent on the first floor. Other office spaces may be made available to interested parties.
The Smith ACM is located centrally on campus, between the Elliott University Center and Walker Parking Deck. As a privately owned nonprofit corporation, we are able to allow renting groups to hire the caterer of their choice. Renters are expected to do their own setup and cleanup. Smoking, alcohol, firearms, glitter, confetti, rice, and initiation events are not allowed in the center. Other restrictions apply as well.
